Here comes Santa!!!

We just had our squadron Christmas party. It started out with a big area of bubble wrap for the kids to run along. Now, how fun is that!?!?!? There were also some bouncy houses set up.

Everyone is waiting for Santa to arrive....just waiting for the big door to open.
Santa arrived in a Harrier and looks like his elf hitched a ride :)
(sorry, pics are blurry)

Morgan was so excited to see him.
He brought gifts for all the kids.

Marine Corps Ball

We just went to the 233rd Birthday Ball for the Marine Corps on November 20th. Brian was an escort. I tried to get some good pictures of him during the ceremony but they didn't turn out very good.

That is the cake in the middle of the picture.

Halloween

Here is my Pilot and Kitty. I had a hard time parting with the pink flight suit and since Ava didn't care one way or the other, I figured, why not another year. Morgan picked out what she wanted to be. They had a fun time going around our neighborhood. This is the first year in a while that I have seen so many people out on Halloween. I had a huge turnout of trick or treaters and it was so fun to see all the cute kiddos in their costumes.

I can't decide if Morgan looked like a cat or a mouse with the nose....anyway, she had it pretty much rubbed off by the time we made it outside.
Here is mean kitty.

here is the oh so sweet kitty.

Rag curls

The other day I decided to experiment with the girls hair and do some rag curls. They thought that it was so silly to have rags in their hair. It was more comfortable for them to sleep on than rollers though. Well, it turned out super curly....Ava's hair shrunk up to just under her chin and Morgan's...well, it was super fluffy and she just complained that it wasn't fluffy enough. It was similar to Ava's before she went to school but a little more out of control. I wasn't sure if I wanted to let her go to school like that but she insisted that she didn't want any pony tails or anything to tame it. I had to put in one to keep it out of her eyes. The picture is how much it had deflated when she returned home. Aren't they so cute?!?!

Morgan is learning to ride her bike.

Decorating ice cream cones.

It doesn't feel like fall around here but I noticed that people were heading to the pumpkin patch's and thought that it would be a fun thing for the girls to do. They had bouncy slides, face painting and other things that are fun for kids. I hadn't been to a pumpkin patch around here...well, never any where else either and I didn't know what to expect. I wasn't sure if we would be walking down isles or next to scratchy plants. So, I had the girls put on pants.....that was a bad idea!!! It is still in the 90's and we were so hot. We didn't stay very long cause the girls faces started turning red.

They picked out some pumpkins...the ones pictured aren't the ones they actually took home.

Later on we gutted and carved them. Ava wasn't so sure about cleaning out the pumpkin. She was trying to get into it....one seed at a time :)

Morgan tried removing the inside using her hand and thought it was really disgusting....notice facial expression.

Picture overload....

Playing dress up.

That is where the blood pressure cuff goes...right?!?!?! I thought this was too funny so I hurried and got my camera before they figured it out.

At the beach in San Diego.

We just went to the Miramar Air show this past weekend. Brian was working one of the static displays for the Harrier. We always love to go and watch these great shows!!
Morgan standing in front of the Harrier.Watching the Blue Angels.
Playing in the drinking fountain. As you can see, Morgan is the only one that didn't get drenched.
And the race is on...
